That says that but look more like 45s to me. I would run 195s on 8.5j like burks and thats alot looking at the pic so a 9j would be crazy.

why don't you see if you can get some 195's on the 9j that are worn out that have cost you nothing and see for yourself first hand what the stretch is like and see if you're willing to run it. Then it hasnt cost you anything

 

I got kwikfit to put tyres on my wheels for £2.50 a tyre

Good luck, im sure it wont be as bad as what most think. You just have to make sure you have more than enough air in in the tyres.

Dont like the rear fitment on that polo.. the arches look better when the angle of the tyre stretch matches the angle of the arch.. the polos arches are completely flat + the tyre is mega stretched so doesnt look right imo.

fabia's naturally have negative camber at the back.. even more so when lowered if u put a single shim in either side with max 1.5° neg camber you shouldnt notice much of a difference in rear tyre wear.

Ive bin in the search for wheels since end of show season. . N might have just found a set, wheels for the fab are so hard to find summat different, bin restricted to 16s or 17s. :(

PM what wheels your thinking of mate, i can get a lot of wheels for good prices and plus i dont want to end up with the same as you lol!

This is one of my old 8.5s with 195/40 tyres

And how they sat (et21) before i had my rear arches rolled + pulled (no camber shims)

I wouldent put a 195/40 on a 9j tho. . It is quite alot on my 8.5j wheels lol. . Looks mega from behind im told lol.

The pic of thay polo. . .if there 9j with 195/40s on it doesnt look it. . .pictures dont do it justice tho. . In the flesh it always look more epic haha.

They will poke an extra 1/4 inch further than mine in that pic ^^ which will be fine at the back... and as Luke said uv got more space with 16s.. but dont know how much space ull have at the front..??

im sure iv seen a fabia with borbet A's 16x9 all round.. back end looked good but front poked too much m8

Yeah i ran 9J's before on the back, they were okay, but so unsure of the front, and not sure if it will look silly like youve said!?
