Get £3,665 of extra gear on the Skoda Rapid

Skoda is offering two new special edition versions of the Rapid with as much as £3,665 worth of extra equipment. Priced at £12,990 the Rapid Connect comes with a 1.2-litre TSI with 86PS and comes with plenty of extras. These include 16-inch alloy wheels, rear parking sensors, sat-nav and DAB radio. Two colours are available – brilliant silver and denim blue. 800 examples are available in the UK.

Additionally Skoda is offering the Rapid Sporticon1.png, a limited edition model restricted to 200 models. It features a 105PS 1.2 TSI engine and £1250 of extras, including black alloy wheels, sunset glass, sports seats and steel pedals, plus black mirrors and a black spoiler. The Rapid Sport is priced at £15,630 and is only available in candy white.

Just spotted the above press release on a couple of car sites, thought it may be of interest to any potential buyers. :)

I do love the way their special editions sometimes have implausible costs for the extra equipment.

I wonder how they get £3665 for those add ons?

Being a sad git I have just checked the brochure prices for the Rapid SE plus the options listed for the Connect and the otr price reduction is, indeed, £3665. Looks a reasonable deal.

BUT I could rant all day about the prices of options on new cars, especially metallic paint!

Ah, I see.
The £3665 is partly made up of the options, and partly the reduction in cost over the standard SE.

There's no way some wheels and a satnav was adding up to that much.

I didn't realise how it was added up either as i had the same initial thoughts as you re the value of extras. Btw you are brave to list the deal on hotukdeals however, lets hear what the 'experts' have to say about it!

Would like to see the Sport model in a decent picture - the only press release one I've seen so far is of it moving (faked blur too I think).

+1 on this - the blurred moving pic doesn't do justice to what it might actually look like given the description - I've got a mk 2 Octavia and been looking at the mk 3 but might be interested in the Rapid Sport

It's looks ok - seen one at my dealer.

Basically like mine just with Rays wheels and black spoiler and mirrors.

They're expensive - if you want a good one mine will be for sale at preston motors soon :)

Is this only available on the 1.2 tsi?
