New Nozzles take ages to start

Featured Replies

Hey all,

I fitted some new injectors with Bosch .216's in my 110 ASV lump. It runs beautifully, smooth, fast, just nice in general. BUT... it takes maybe 10 seconds plus of cranking in the morning to start, followed by enough white smoke to fill the strictly ballroom... oh is that an admission?

Anyway... I have adjusted the IQ down to 2.8/3 ish to reduce running and traffic smoke and the timing is up the top of the line, mechanically altered, and I have made the glow plugs stay on for longer, is thee anything else? I cant find anything out about the starting conditions adaptation block, and I have looked at the map to see if there is something starting related in there and cant spot anything obvious. Has anyone got any other recommendations?

How old are the glow plugs?

Sounds like glow plugs aren't working to me as well. Haven't left anything daft off when doing the job?
