Rear drivers mirror, door lock and red LED

Featured Replies

Ok I`ve been trying to find something specific on the VRS but I can`t.

So all of a sudden my drivers side electric door mirror wont move when you try to operate it with the knob.  The left one works fine.  I don`t know if this is all interconnected so I will mention the other electrical issues too.  The central locking works but the drivers side door wont lock or unlock with it.  You have to use the key to get in.  Also another thing I`ve noticed is the little red flashing LED in the door for the alarm system doesn`t flash anymore.  There is no evidence that the alarm system is even working anymore...

I`m ok with auto wiring but not on the wiring of Skoda's.  Where should I start?  None of the fuses appear to be blown.

By the way I`ve just noticed I put rear drivers mirror, I meant drivers door mirror. lol

check the cable loom where it passes from the car body to the door for breaks.

if that okay - remove the door card and check the wiring there.

common enough problem, corrosion in  the door loom, so loads of guides and help around if you do a search :)

PS: you could ask the local car thief to break in to see if the alarm's working ;)
