Hi my octy vrs cuts out for a second then gos again on high revs just like I let the throttle off then strait bk on again bit like traction control cuttin in but it ain't that cause that was turned off and at high speed no fault codes found any ideas???? Thanks

A bit of punctuation might help.

Brake light switch possibly.Do the brake lights work ok ?? Or possibly fuelling issue if its at high rpm.

Brake lights are fine and don't no if u remember I had fueling issues a couple month ago new fuel pump cured it that was 7 thousand miles ago it's real weird only cut for a second then bk again strange

Like a misfire ?? Just a blip or a bit longer. Did you change the FPR ??

And no ain't changed the fpr I did run it more or less out of fuel the other day but can't see how that could cause this

It could have screwed the pump. Slim chance but it could happen. Could be plugs too.

No weirdness at low revs seems normal and plugs are 2 weeks old

does the orange petrol light keeps coming on?  When is on, do you usually give it the beans?

on which gear does it do that?

Why dont you try to log block 002 on 3rd or 4th gear with VAG COM or VCDS and then use this formula

engine speed (rpm) x injection time (ms) / 1200 =  % of your injectors

if you go pass 90%, most probably your fuel pump is off again.

 

this fuel pump and the old one, do they have the same petrol station in common maybe?

when was the last time you changed your fuel filter?

That's my prob I ain't got VAg com only a fault code reader so I'm flyin blind I need to find Somone who has vcds who nos wot there doin with it. Don't matter which gear it's in I thought coil pack or packs might be on there way out and changed fuel filter with pump I'll put a new filter on tomoz

If you keep running it low on fuel you could be picking crud up out of the bottom of the tank all the time, so I'd change the filter again.

if coilpack is on its way it should go off soon.
