do i need 4 bar fuel reg for stage 2 revo?

Featured Replies

Bought a revo stage 2 mapped ecu with immo deleted, and cel deleted ect... am told it is around 21-23psi. And the boost is hard when it comes in..!

Have 3' downpipe with decat coming, cold air Fed induction, recirc valve, and buying an enlarged t.i.p... I also bought today a nice ko3s with forge actuator...

But have read and been told I will need a 4 bar fuel reg to stop it running lean.. is this true?

Advise welcomed blokes

Cheers - Ant

Lol. I will do a little digging now unless someone comes along and tells us :-)

  • I'm sure I was told the other day on here what car they came from but not to bother but that was before I bought a revo stage 2 ecu :-D

Yes REVO stage 2 are mapped for a 4 bar fpr. They are std in Audi S4/RS4 and part number is 0280160575. They are a std bosch off the shelf part in most motor factors also like euro car parts.

Thank you mate... I will hunt one down now :-)

4bar fpr also in the 225bhp cars like s3 tt and cupra r

Would u not need a 4 bar pump? What does the stock octy pump kick out?

If the map specifies a 4-bar FPR, then it's probably a good idea to use one.

I've just taken my 4-bar reg off and replaced it with a standard 3-bar reg to match the standard pump and injectors. Will be tweaking the map later in the week, and if all is well, then my 4-bar reg will be up for grabs if you want it. Genuine Bosch/VAG 0280160575. Loads of them on eBay.

Actually no not needed although some folks change to keep a consistent pressure. The REVO map changes the fuel duty cycle of the injectors and in doing so utilises the 4bar fpr. I ran my REVO 2 map with std pump. REVO do not state the need so I did not change.

I just removed my 4bar fpr too. Back to 3bar. I have Shark stage 2 map now and running 4bar pump but std injectors and car runs much better as that is how it was mapped for.
