Poor seat support in elegance when cornering

Featured Replies

I am looking for a replacement for my Octavia vRS and have a new Octavia 2.0 Tdi elegance on demo and I really like it.

Apart from one thing, the seats.

When I go round corners fairly fast, the sides of the seat are so soft, I nearly fall out.

I could go for leather option, but does anyone know if they offer more support?

I have leather in mine and i dont find it a problem, im not a slow driver and if i find a corner i can go round on two wheels then i will. I had a vrs before the elegance so i can compare the two but its prob best to try and get a test drive in one with leather and make your own mind up. you dont want to shell out extra and find it hasnt helped.

I took mine out for a meet last week around North Wales, and put it through the rigours with vrs's. I found my 2L tdi elegance with sports suspension excellent, in fact the more I think about it only lacked a more compedent driver!! The seats I find much better than my old Octy (not vrs). I have leather seats and find them quite supportive and did not seem to move much whilst driving.

And you can clean the stains off easier....
