Do you mean "789.0" ?  If so, then no - you have a 2 mile discrepancy  Odometer is +6, resetable miles is +4 (depending on the tenths obviously)

I just took 7 miles off the 123463 to take it back to 123456 and thought the numbers below worked the same i.e take 7 miles off 793.8 to take it back to 786.8.   But it mustn't work that way like you've mentioned devonutopia.

 

Oh well.   I had left work and it was sitting around 123433 and said to myself "remember to keep an eye out for the mileage" but hey hoo I forgot - darn traffic on the Westlink in Belfast!!

But you want 789 to be chronological, not 786 - Or am I missing the point?

I had this last week

reset the trip at 123333 to get the 123.4. If I'd thought about it earlier I'd have rest the trip at 122667 I think :think:

Yeah I wanted 789 but I'd settle for the 786 (just as close to the 789) but my thinking (once I arrived home & looked @ the mileage) was @ 123456 on top line, by taking away the same 7miles the bottom line would have read 786 which I would have been happy enough with 

 

But yeah having them all in chronological order would have been ideal

Anyway, I'm not taken with the special miles.  I'm currently waiting for 137,360 which means nothing to most people, but to me means the mongrel has been on the road for 130,000 miles.
