Been going through and copying some old slides and found this:

My Dad's S110R, being driven by me, taken at the ford in Llancarfan in the Vale of Glamorgan in 1975.

 

That car got rallied, trialled, and autotested by us both.

That is a good photo, Graham. It'd make a great entry for 2015's Briskoda calender IMO.

Maybe crop out a bit of the lower foreground, that's the only thing I'd do.

Yeah nice pic that, I'd like to see the one taken 5 seconds after when it kionked out.

That car was actually quite good, and certainly wasn't affected by water as much as the preceeding BMC 1300's we had. Yes it probably let us down a few times, but then lots of cars did 40 years ago. I don't think we ever failed to finish a competition in it because of mechanic faults.

If it's not had a VAG turbo engine fitted to it then Tom doesn't know what it is! MY S110r was indestructible in day to day use....drove me out of a boggy field after a rallycross event when everyone else who wasn't in a 4x4 got stuck and it put up with me driving it round everywhere with my foot on the floor. Great little cars and totally dependable.

Great photo! Did the bodywork survive wet welsh winters though (as a former Ceredigion resident )
