Help need internal diameter of KW main coilover spring

Featured Replies

Anyone got a KW V1,V2 or V3 off car handy to take a measurement for me

I need the main spring internal diameter

Reason is I am thinking of getting a different performance company to supply me a set of replacement springs.

And my personal feeling on getting help from KW uk is not that great

I need the poundage and length which I have which  is 60N/mm-170mm  but i also need he inner diameter

I also found out today from  KW that Eibach supply them the springs

Who are you thinking of Mark as my son works for a BTCC team, and I may be able to offer alternatives from his suppliers, depending on size and rate. Am seeing him tomorrow night if you can get me info back quick enough.

if you are already well into a deal with people you are talking to and are happy to stay with it then this message will self destruct in 5 seconds :giggle:

and at around £15 a spring is dam good

I just need to make sure i have the correct measurements

Demon tweeks also seem to do them

As KW appear to more than one diameter i want to be sure

but fee free to ask buddy...

why pay to get KW when a alternative could be had much cheaper

cheers

Number one son's team deal with everyone from eibach to ohlins as they have a GT team as well - they have a suspension room with a shock building and testing rig there. Let me have the dimensions when you get them and we'll see what's available

Just looked at those links, and I know we are only looking at piccies, but the Rallydesign springs look far more linear than the Faulkner ones, Are the KW/Eibachs progressive or linear?, and are these a main or helper spring?.

edit - scratch last question, just seen main thread title :wall:

The springs are progressive buddy as far as I know and looks to be true on the searches I just made.
