MOT Failure?

Featured Replies

Is it an MOT failure if you cant adjust the drivers side door mirror using the electric switch??  I can push the mirror with my hand so its positioned correctly for the time being.

Sam

My wifes car went through MoT with passenger side mirror that can't be positioned by electrics and I can't remember ever having my mirror moved during MoT so I think as long as glass is not broken it should pass.

As long as it provides and adequate view to the rear, it will be fine.

As above ^^^

It will pass. Other halfs picasso wing mirror got smashed off and I glued it all solid in place.

Passed mot.

It will pass as the electrical fault is not safety orientated. The mirror is physically there and able to do the job it was designed for, just because you can only adjust it manually does not affect its purpose.
