Fabia Vrs will not start

Featured Replies

I have a 05 plate fabia vrs. It has had the egr deleted.

It had a new turbo about 5 weeks ago and now having more problems.

I was driving down the road at approx. 50 mph slowed down to go straight over at a roundabout and when I started to gain speed  it made a "tsshhh" sound and lost all power. The car was still running but accelerator just done nothing. I pulled over and switched the car off to call or help and now the car will not start. The engine turns over tries to fire once but then that's it just turns over till battery goes dead/flat.

I have had  the car on a VAG COM however it comes up with NO fault codes regarding the engine. I was also told when i bought the car that it had be remapped could this stop any fault codes showing up??

Could be unrelated however when I had the turbo done a day or so later the electric windows wont work.

Fitted a cam shaft sensor yesterday and still no joy. Ordered a crank shaft sensor will be here tomorrow hopefully. I have been told that as theres no fault cdes then this is unlikely anyway.

Any ideas please??

Thanks in advance.

Check all the fuses.

Mine did this for a bit after the vacuum box went, and it was the engine management fuse in the cubby at side of drivers dash.

Why replace sensors if the fault scan is showing nothing?

Are you scanning it with a genuine vcds because even from continuous cranking vcds will show a fault of the timing being out of range.

That why it could be fuse because it didnt show up when i had that fault.
