Discovered my local KWIK FIT in Southend on sea now have  4 wheel alignment system. All premier dealers should now have this, as part of recent refurbishment.

 

Had FOC check this morning (no corrections made). Took no time at all, as needed evidence for Skoda UK  (now have 62 reg Octavia VRS CR DSG 2700 miles from new x demo dealer purchased) see separate post

Haven`t asked yet, as Skoda are involved with problem. I wanted to let people know that there is another option. I will contact them and update

separate post is on main page - 62 reg VRS. Steering does not  feel right + Large gaps between tyre and wheel arches. process of elimination : wheel alignment and possible spring issue?

AMD In Lakeside Essex      £72  price inclusive (no charge for individual adjustments)

Me. My suspension geometry on your new four wheel alignment system.

Kwikfit. Ohh dat fing in der corner. Yer pop yer motor on da ramp an I go get billy to chec it.

Some hours later..............

Kwikfit. Ok guvnor billy checked it and needs new shocks discs n pads all round and exhaust n tyres oh and billy said oil is a bit slippery so suggests new oil n filters n all.

Me. Actually no thanks.

"Kwik fit knocking" is as old hat as the word "halfrauds"... experience is purely down to the staff - The mobile fitters arent even kwik fit staff, but instead are contractors who hold a franchise.

The refurbishments are UK-wide, but are taking time (not all will get the 4-wheel alignment). 

At the end of the day you can give monkeys all the tools in the world... but they won't be able to operate them correctly!
