Fabia Estate SE 1.2 Tsi

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

We (young family) are considering buying this car as its on a fab deal at the moment.

1. If you recently bought this car, could you pls tell me the add on's you managed to negotiate?

2. What's your preference - denim blue or silver? Unfortunately, our local dealer has no stock so I'm calling around. One dealer about 100 miles away said he can order it for us. So we didn't have a chance to look at the cars yet. We've test driven a different colour at a used car dealer. When I google, I see very different images (colours) for denim blue. Can someone please post a link to the actual day light colour of the car in denim blue?

3. If you own this car, could you please tell me if you are happy with your fabia estate?

Apologies I'm posting on this forum even though I don't own a skoda yet. We really liked this car, so we are probably buying it very soon.

Thank you for reading through!

I bought a silver one and am happy with it, I didn't get a discount but got rubber floor mats, door side rubbing strips, stainless steel sill protectors and a full tank of fuel. Also got it with 3 years free servicing bit I think that offer is no longer available. Didn't like the denim blue when I saw a hatchback in that colour, though I must admit silver is about the most boring colour you can get. The 1.2 tsi engine is a peach and the ride, refinement and economy is very much improved over our 09 1.2htp hatch.

Regarding price see my thread about brokers4cars.co.uk. I doubt they can get them at their advertised price as I believe Skoda UK is drip feeding these cars to the dealers.

I've now spoken to broker4cars and they are trying to find a dealer for me. I've spoken to a few dealers and they indicated that they can order the car for me - delivery 1st week of march!

By any chance if anyone here knows about a dealer with fabia estate in stock, could you pls let me know? I'd like to get the car ASAP.

I have the vRS estate, and its an awesome car :) the 1.2 is, by all accounts, a good engine :)

Thank you!

Have you tried TransCity in Walthamstow or Prestons in Forest Gate by any chance.

Hi Tulipz,

It might be worth having a look at the Special Edition Roomster for the same money, you get rear parking sensors, floor mats, panoramic glass roof and sunset glass in the deal as standard. Not sure of availability and if broker4 cars can get a similar discount, and, of course, you might hate their shape. But in my opinion they are much quieter than the Fabia and have a more flexible interior for your family.

We have a 11 plate TSi 86 estate (SE plus trim) and it's great. There's plenty of power for normal driving. The boot is huge for the size of car and easily swallowed the pushchair etc. We came to the Fabia from a Mondeo and the boot space was really not that different in practical use.

If you're able to add on extras to your SE here are a few ideas for stuff that was standard on the SE+ (why have they got rid of this trim level?)

Depending on how old your children are, I'd go for electric rear windows. It's useful to switch them off and avoid fiddling...

And I don't think I would want to go back to manual heating controls. The Climatronic system just works and is so simple.

Finally, the MDI is great for having a USB drive for music. Create a folder just for the children's music and every nursery rhyme ever composed is available at the touch of a button!

You can't have any factory options on the limited editions, they are a special block order by Skoda UK and that's why they are cheap. Only options are those that a dealer can fit.

I'm interested in seeing how the brokers4cars price pans out....

I doubt any estates are in stock. The 1st batch delivered October sold out quickly. The march delivery is probably the 2nd or 3rd batch. Skoda UK only orders a limited batch at a time, possibly to stop deep discounting....more probably they have to pay the Skoda factory up front to get such a good deal, hence the fixed spec.

Talking of internet brokers, we're using CarFile.net for our 1.2TSI Estate purchase, though the deal is directly with a Skoda main dealer. Was pretty much the best price I could find, and so far we're pleased with the service - though we've not got the car yet! Ordered in December, should be PDI'd and ready for the new reg in March if that helps give an idea of normal ordering leadtimes.

As we wanted the 105PS variant this made more sense than getting one of the £10k special deal 86PS cars, though they're a bargain if that's what you're after!

The limited editions are not available "to order" as such, but "to be reserved/allocated" by the dealer from the batch that Skoda UK ordered and distributed across the dealer network. Each dealer gets a handful and cant demand more. Its up to the execs in Skoda UK if they decide to keep the promotion going and order another batch (and numbers)

Remember this is effectively a runout model promotion. Fabia iii is due to be launched soon.

Best to look at colours in the flesh, often they look far different from photos. I was told by the dealer that silver and denim blue are the 2 most popular Skoda colours, I don't agree, but you should find some car in a dealers yard in denim blue, best if it was a fabia of some description as some colours look better o some models rather than others.

I bought a Fabia 1.2 tse se estate in denim blue under this offer. I can post a pic if you still need to see colour. Great car for the money
