Drivers side rear door stuck

Hi guys I have a small problem as my o/s rear door is stuck shut,

I opened it yesterday and it wouldn't shut and just kept bouncing back.

I was out shopping and had no choice but give it a good slam.

It stayed closed but now wont open.

I have searched and found the threads on removing the card and latch so although a pain should be able to do it,

My Question is to anyone who has had to do this is did you replace it or did you just free everything off and refit it.
