Interior,,,,,,,,,,

Featured Replies

Question for you Roomster people. How common, or should that be uncommon, is this interior? Looks like Fabia Sport seats and stitching. Very nice IMO. I'm starting to look. Terms directed at me so far are 'BOF' and 'pipe and slippers'.

Anyway, that interior, common or not?

Now, who on earth would call you a 'BOF' for wanting a Roomster?  :giggle:

I've never seen that interior in a Roomy before.  It does look good.

Those seats are part of Dynamic Pack for Roomster.

I have that in my Roomster Scout and the seats are nice looking and very supportive.

Here's some pics from my car:

Hi Lee,

Looks very nice, ignore all the daft comments, I've moved from a 3cyl 1.4tdi Mk 1 Fabia to the Roomster, the 1.9 is SO much smoother and less vibratory, and the low-profile wipers don't judder. And an amazingly versatile car! Love it! Full 3-point rear belts and BIG rear access great for aged P's and nephews & nieces. And the fold and lift-out rear seats gives heaps of easily-accessed space for my work stock.

Does the towbar double as rear parking sensor? HoHo, mine has former and not latter. Useful to have the roof-rails too so you can attach bars, bike carriers, roofbox etc. At that mileage, age (and price), it would be worth getting a cambelt change in the deal (72k miles max permitted in the Handbook).

Are you going to see/drive it? Appreciate it looks to be nearly 200 miles away (and those Autotrader dealer distances aren't accurate), If you do go, would be a good idea to do a hill-start to check the handbrake action and/or sticking rear calipers, mine has required new handbrake cable since purchase last September, also may well want a set of Philips H7 X-treme Vision replacement headlight bulbs, as the standard ones are atrociously feeble; Powerbulbs here in Wakefield was my source, bit pricey but worth it, and easy to fit.  And quite often when I switch the engine off, strange moaning noise from driver's side under-bonnet, local Skoda Dealer says the Vacuum Box needs replacing at umpteen hundred quid, but everything works OK, and mpg averaging 57--60.

My "2" spec on '57 plate has much jazzier stripy seat fabric, and shiny (aluminium effect) face-level-vents surrounds, which create annoying reflections in the door mirrors.

The parcel shelf is unable to cope with the tiltable/slidable rear seats, ie. big gap!  But overall a brilliant motor, hope we can soon welcome you to the Roomster section!

Richard

PS The aircon may well want a "refresh", worth getting in the deal (cost me £29 at D M Keiths).

And tyres may well want replacing, they're a lot wider and noisier than on the Fabia, I've had two Goodyear EfficientGrip Performance fitted at the rear, LOADS quieter than the ones they replaced, and less rolling-resistance too; will get two for the front when required. Not sure if your Fabia was on steel wheels, my local garage had a right job loosening the Roomster's alloys to attend to the brakes, they kinda weld themselves to the steel hubs.....!

You'll notice a difference too in the weight of steel in the bonnet and hatchback compared to the solid Fabia ones, Roomster's are much "tinnier" sounding, done to save weight.  Side doors are reassuringly chunky, though!

Thanks, Manni. So I need to look for the 'Dynamic' pack. Hopefully it's called the same in the UK. I can't quite see; do you have the red stitching on the steering wheel and gearstick gator?

Thanks, Richard. I won't be looking at that actual one, the pic was more to get an idea of the trim, I really like that interior. Reminds me very much of the Fabia 'Sport' interior ;) My Fabia will be staying for a little while longer until funds allow a change. The Fabia is on winter alloys 185/60/14 at the moment but will be going back to the summer 16s 205/45/16 when it warms up again. The 16's are from an L&K Octavia so will probably follow me when I get a Roomster ;)

I absolutely love the versatility of the Roomy and as I have a 1.9TDI at the moment (bombproof) I'll be looking for a 1.9TDI PD 105 Roomster and some 'overclocking' ;)

Many thanks for the help :)

You are welcome.

No, all the stiching on steering wheel and gear stick are black. Here's better pictures:

This is three spoke wheel with radio and telephone controls. Optional extra. Scout's standard wheel is the same here but without telephone controls.

DSG stick with leather on it. Scout version is carried with Leather pack and Dynamic Pack contains it too.

Don't get fooled by these spefications because they vary very much about your country. For example nearly every Scout in mobile.de is with simpler drive computer display, in Finland Maxidot is standard for Scout.
