wishbones

Featured Replies

I'm not sure that at that price they are going to be too clever, I bought mine at christmas from ECP in their 50% off deal, they were lemforder which I believe are oem, and it came to just under £1oo all in. Skoda price was just over £200, so you can see why I would be nervous of those ones.

What about trying one of the guys breaking vrs's to see if they have any polybushed arms as you are already on modded suspension?.

Yeah I'm up for a bargain but I know what you mean. Thanks for the shout buddy I'll have a look on ECP see if any deals are on.

Also give Oet a pm, he may have what you need in his cave.

I have looked through the parts for sale section and PM'd a few members but nothing so far. I could polybush mine I suppose but I'm gonna renew ball joints and track rod ends.

Good call as I dont think balljoints are that expensive compared to other cars, and the tyre wear they cause when worn.

I'm just gonna give it a front end refresh. It failed its mot last year for a perished rear bush n/s. I just fitted a new bush to get it through but once one goes....... Plus its got a very slight knock on the o/s front now.

Last time I bought wishbones from TPS they were about £35 each. Ball joints you certainly need to stick to OEM (Lemforder). Others just don't last.

I've just looked on ECP. 30% off wishbones at the moment. £46.16 each.

but why do you need the entire arm ? is it bent?does the car suffered an accident?

You only need the big bush and the balljoint,I never saw a damaged small bush, and believe me I've seen alot.

I know the bush must be pressed, but is not that hard.

Don't swap original quality arm for cheap unknown questionable aftermarket.

No damage. It just means knocking bushes out and pressing new ones in. It certainly would be the cheaper option.
