VCDS Wont read, 55-Xenon range

Featured Replies

Hi,

I need to adjust my Xenon headlights so i tried to put them it to the "adjust mode" as per ross tech website guide.

However when clicking on 55-xenon range, no module is found :(

Im only using unregistered vcds lite is this my problem.

Has anyone else had this problem or know why it could be?

Many Thanks

Eddy

I'd be looking at the cheap cable as the cause.

Hurrrm I thought that but i have had managed to access other blocks like ABS, Engine ect.

Can a cable issue cause a problem with specific areas?

Some controllers can be difficult to communicate with. Try fiddling with the connection speed.

Some modules are more sensitive than others, for example on my 2001 A8, the cable I use with it refuses to connect to the heating controller however the proper Ross Tech cable connects just fine.

I'm in Newport if you want to use my genuine cable when you are next in Cwmbran?

Okay cheers for that connection speed? sounds confusing already haha ;)

Yeah seems odd it works with some modules and not others, guess thats where the extra money goes on a proper cable.

Hi Adamal, I'm based in cwmbran most of the time. Sounds like a great offer, when are you free?

After visiting adamal and still having no luck accessing the module i have had a look and found a broken pin in the connector for the levelling sensor.  Can be seen on the bottom right just.

So need a new levelling sensor, is that the right name for the component? and to remove the pin from the multi pin plug.

hopefully then it will play ball
