Noticed rear carpets are soaked on my 04 vrs and also the passenger side front is soaked which seems to be running down from the top of the dash any ideas anyone any links for threads to repair and stop leaks?

Here you go. Until the weather dries up a bit, I would advise fitting the 'curtains' suggested somewhere in that thread. Inelegant but very effective temporary fix for the rear doors.
