Bet you can't wait!! Its V10 maps and the serial number is 8048. Press and hold setup and you will get a version information menu.

I'd be interested to know what firmware level they're up to now as well, although you may get the newer MIB Columbus so it won't be relevant to those of us with older units.

What's MIB?

I Have just pick up my car and I have sw 5238 and map information of 7918 and the car is 1 week old

I think the MIB Columbus only currently applies to the new Octavia platform (not sure what MIB stands for).

 

RabMurray: 5238 is pretty new firmware, but I have seen mention of 5269, and your maps are version 9, not 10.

Yes, you can happily upgrade the firmware from 5238 to 5270 and the v9 maps (7918) to v10 (8048). I did it at Xmas to my 'C' unit and it's fine.
