New car

Featured Replies

Well we picked up our new car yesterday while we were in Wales.... :) ours is the TDi model and we love it...!!!!! (Ours is a final model of the Monte, according to the dealer as it doesn't have any dates on the wing badges just a chequered flag..)

Very nice looking monte

Nice one, must be the last as mine has 2013 on them.

As matter of interest what do the door sill covers have on them?

Great looking Monte, but then I am a bit biased!

Do the sill plates just have a chequered flag on as well?

My fogs are the same i think they all do it

Yes, the classic phrase they all do it is correct when it comes to the front Fog Light/DRL units, it is annoying though as mine likes like the lens could do with a clean on the inside!

If you get a result Sixty7 let me know.

Yeah it would, I'll have to try and find them.. Might have to get some

My uncle has a Monte Carlo as well and we were talking about this issue, he told me one of his others cars I think it was a megane had the same issue with misting up fog lights and he cured it by drilling a very small hole in each unit so it would vent all the heat build up now I'm not sure if he's going to do that while his car is still under warranty (I'll keep u posted) but on the other hand he also told me that u can turn the daytime running lights off as theres a switch in the fuse box..?? not sure if this is true (any feedback..??) as it wouldn't bother me not having mine on as I'm not a big fan of these lights and would switch mine off if this switch existed......(gave it, it's first wash today all looking lovely again, shame all the roads are full of crap up here in Scotland...:( )

My understanding is these units are already vented and that is why you get fogging until the housing warms up with the DRL's on.

Well mine have been off all night and day and are pretty much at outside temp (cold but still have a little bit of mist inside) when I drive the car like when we came home from Wales sunday half the lens was misted
