Highest Miles on the Clock achieved in petrol Fabia

Featured Replies

In your current (or previous) petrol Fabia -

What is the highest miles on the clock achieved?

Do you still have the car?

Or was this the mileage before selling the car onto someone else, or -

When the car came to the end of its life (major failure not economical to repair, accident etc.)

Any (many) 150k + petrols out there?

2001 MPI with 147000 on clock myself and wife have put 100000 of those, and its still going strong. And apart from a clutch and normal things like tyres, brakes, oil etc its been a very reliable car.

Our 05 1.2 is just coming up to 118000 I think.

I bought a cheap secondhand head to refurb, after reading various scary stories about timing chain tensioners and burnt valves/seats, but so far it's been good as gold. I haven't needed to do anything much other than a new EGR valve, and exhaust front pipe.

I viewed one with 133k on it. Ran and drove nicely. I passed because it was very untidy inside.

A friend of mine has a 1.2 htp 12 valve 172000 and still going strong !!

I had a 1.2 HTP 64bhp (2003)

had 112,000 miles on it when I sold it to a neighbour!

Apart from from the timing chain slipping a tooth (at 105,000) ran perfect all the time!

to be fair I probably brought the timing chain issue on myself, being 17 and all........

Almost miss that little car

My  W reg 1.4 fabia comfort has 153,000 + on the clock.

It runs nice and quietly usually but the exhaust started blowing today - got to sort it out tomorrow.

Although it has done loads of miles, it went straight through its MOT last year

All these high milers make me think my '04 plate 1.4 16 valver will last a bit then! I bought it last september with 30,000 (warranted) and its now done 32,000! I do intend to keep it. Had my last car for 7 years.
