Boot Leak

Featured Replies

I have a had a boot leak for a while that when it rains overnight I end up with approximately 7-8 large drips of water pooled around one of the rear passenger side headrest holes (i haven't got a headrest fitted in this position due to baby seat). It is enough that I have started leaving a jug in the car overnight so that the water doesn't run down into the seat foam.

At first I though it might be the boot seal so tried a new boot seat but nothing changed. Next I tried sealing around one of the metal joins at the top corner thinking that it may be getting through a small gap but again this did not stop the leak.

After removing some of the plastic trim at the top near the roof lining I have now managed to narrow it down to a small hole in the body work when one of the blue trim clip goes.

Now I can't really figure out how the water is getting in and then leaking out of this hole as obviously it hasn't done for the last 5 years.

I have attached two photographs to try and show the exact bit that I mean. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
