The Citigo Sport is no more

Featured Replies

At least that's what I was told by Sandicliffe Leicester this afternoon when I popped in to sign some paperwork.

They're taking no more orders and the showroom model is on the forecourt with a price of £9,500 (ish) if anyone wants a white one.

:o

Surely they won't stop making them, with how many units they are shifting?

From what I understood, it was always meant to be a limited edition model and will be replaced by something else equally snazzy.

Have they shifted many units? They seem popular on here but I think I've only seen one other on the roads and my local dealer says they've only sold one of them.

If they have been discontinued i hope it's not with something better, lol. Hope it doesn't affect the residual values too.

They've been very popular according to the aforementioned dealer.

Just not up here then! Lol. Mind I did have to travel 200miles to get a good deal for one.

It's a fairly standard marketing trick, limited edition models stops it from going stale, plus it stimulates sales of whatever comes next to better it.

Hmm might hold its value as it's a limited edition :)

I guess it depends on how good the next one is. If its got a tsi engine I'm having one, lol.

Going back to the beginning 9.5k isn't bad for the show room model, especially if you can haggle another £250 off.

Oh yes 3 pot tsi :)

We are all waiting now!

Something with around 100PS and £20 tax would be nice!! I personally don't think you will see it though as I think this platform style of car will always be about economy these days...

No mention of this on the UK or Czech site?

Didn't SUK tell us the Fabia Monte Carlo was stopping about 2 years ago too?

I think the Monte was only supposed to be a special edition in 2011 but has probably proved popular so they kept it going?

To be replaced by a Citigo vRS... :D

I hope it will be offered in Automatic this time whatever the car is.

Yes a VRs would be nice as long as the MPG is still good.

an automatic sport? surely a paradox in there somewhere...

Citigo Monte Carlo?

Citigo Monte Carlo?

That was mooted by the dealer in a "Possibly something like a..." way.

Like most every current supercar...

I've yet to experience a supercar with an auto shift experience like the Citigo. :giggle:

Lee at Preston Motors confirmed: "Just had a check, ordering stopped from 3rd Feb, and as mentioned the last cars will be built in week 21."

Interesting to see if this is just a short stoppage to catch up on builds as I've heard it's a popular car.

So that means there are so many Sports on order they will still be building them in late May?.Could well be a temporary pause in the order process so as to give Skoda a chance to catch up?.

My brother had an F355 F1 paddle change which was as bad! His current F430 is a much better paddle change and he tells me that the F458 that he has tested is much better still.

SUK website states "limited stock available" now on the Sport.
