Octavia II HIDs

Featured Replies

Hi,

Im looking to fit HID's to my 2012 Octavia vRS, what type are the bulbs? I've done this before on other cars, but is this easier enough to do on the skoda?

Do they need holders or anything?

Thanks

Well i've bought a 62 plate, so do i still need a non canbus kit?  Also do i need to go into the vcds and change the setting? If so how do i gain access to this?

If you need to go into VCDS coding you'll either need a suitable lead to do it yourself, go to a dealer to get them to do it, or find someone on here who has a lead and may be able to assist

If it's the latter, this thread may be of interest

I'll probably buy a lead, i guess thats the next question. Where in the car is the connection? And then i'll need to determine the connection type

Would that kit off eBay be ok for a 2009 pre facelift vrs ? How easy are they to fit ? I've never had them before as had xenons but just wanting a brighter blue lights

Ive fitted HID's to a friends civic type R and an E46 BMW before. The same principles apply, I have a 2012 so its getting rid of the dash warning lights that get me.
