I am looking at a 1.9 diesel 105 bhp Octavia estate on a 59 plate, can anyone tell me if this engine has a DPF fitted?

As far as I know there is no DPF on the 1.9tdi in the Octavia.

But to make sure there should be some codes on the service book and in the boot, one of these will tell you if the car has DPF or not.

The only PD TDi's in the Octavia that came with DPF's I believe were the vRS and the 2.0 TDi 140 4x4/Scout models. A 1.9 wouldnt have a DPF on an Octy.

The 1.9 TDi 105 fitted to the Octavia does not have a DPF (although this same engine fitted to some Golf's and A3's does have a DPF fitted).

 

The 1.9 is a brilliant engine, extremely durable, partly because it isn't plagued by a bloody DPF!
