Radio Aux Setting Question

Featured Replies

Ok so I'm not the most technically minded so maybe I'm doing something wrong...

When I want to play from my SD card on the PID I press the MEDIA button and then the 'NAV' option which is simple enough but when I turn the ignition off then get back in the car I have to re-select it again, it always seems to default back to the 'AUX' setting.  Why doesn't the radio seem to hold that setting seeing as it was the last thing you were doing?

I have looked at the PID manual briefly but I don't see it helping as really it's a radio problem but there's nothing in the Funky instructions about it, in fact there's nothing about the radio/PID relationship at all.

Is this a common thing or is it just me doing something wrong?

I get this after Bluetoothing music and it's always at "Portable" on the next turn of the key but after a few secs it reverts to radio.

I think its because the PID is a seperate unit, when you switch it on it has to synchronise whereas the Aux or Radio functions are already built into the radio.

just a guess.

I use Bluetooth streaming from my phone for music. The stereo defaults to radio when I first start the car but starts streaming a few seconds later, presumably once the PID and phone are connected.

Oh good!  Glad it isn't just me then!  I guess it'll become second nature soon enough!  Thank you
