Hi to all, Back in 1987 I bought my first Skoda, a 1976 Skoda 110L, which I still have and use regularly. Since then I have added a 1963 Skoda 'Octavia Super' and a 1982 Skoda 120L. Lokking for information about the Marque I started the Skoda and Tatra Register in 1988 and remained National Secretary and Newsletter editor until the end of June 2013. I am now the Officer in charge of Skoda registrations under the State of Victoria's 'Club Permit Scheme'. Over the years I have developed a love for these quirky, and in many ways, advanced, cars. Particularly those built in the Communist era. Despite the ridicule heaped upon them by those of the 'Great Unwashed' I have always found them to be economic and reliable. I have never been afraid to take them anywhere and to prove this, I and nine other Skoda owners from all over Australia, drove our cars to 'Birdsville' deep in the Australian outback where there were no roads, just dirt tracks. Only two120's had trouble owing to the talcum powder like dust ingested by the rear engines. Many more "excursions" have taken place since then.
