Original Accessories with a Yeti ..... and which bulb set?

Featured Replies

What sort of accessories were supplied as original kit with the 2012 Yeti Elegance?

In the glove box on the bottom R/H side is a pair of clips ..... why?

In the boot is an empty long, narrow, drawstring bag (about 300mm x 100mm ) ..... what did it contain?

Should I be looking for other missing stuff?

Which of the spare bulb sets on offer on the interweb is the most useful? or should I pay £20 for the Skoda set.

The clips sound like the tweezer type clips used to remove the wheel nut covers, and should be stored in the toolkit tray in the boot. The bag I suspect would have contained the jack kit and wheel brace, assuming your car has a spare that is.

Can't help on the bulb issue.

Edit:

My error - did not read correct (clips - why?)

Graham is correct (RAC card) & spare oil bag.

Pen and pad storage clip?

in a pocket in the l/h side pocket of the boot, any ideas?

Locking wheel nuts?

Roof bars?

Tow bar lock?

Photo would help.

Keys for removeable towbar? Have you a removeable panel in the rear valance with the towbar socket above it, and a swivel down trailer electric socket. Is you bag the storage bag for the towbar when detached?

Well spotted cornishman53. I should have guessed this as I had the towbar with the keys/bag - Doh!

Proper Job. All solved, I'll get back to my Pasty!

The glove box clips are indeed the AA card and Pen holder!post-102023-0-06659000-1392315377_thumb.jpg

The small keys I still cannot find a use for

Edited by gumdrop

The keys look very very similar to the ones for the removable towbar, which I know you don't have.

Could it be that the previous owner swapped the removable one for a fixed one, and forgot about the keys?

The keys look like it is for lockable roofracks. Maybe the previous owner forgot them??

Aldi have got bulb kits on offer at the moment.

The Official Skoda Spare bulb set has, apparently, an adapter to allow

a halogen bulb to be fitted in place of the zenon should it fail £20!

I missed the Aldi sets, all that were left were broken boxes.

Never heard of, or seen that before. Cant see how it would work without some major rewiring.

I finally got around to photographing the bag from my boot.

What is it for, please. 15cm round base, 50cm long

two adjustable straps and a drawcord neck.

Does not look like the spare oil bag or tool bag - at least not on my Yeti. Could be a storage bag for seat covers or similar left in car by previous owner.

A bit longer than the one for my detachable tow hook - but what would be the use of the straps, anyway?

Well it isn't the oil or hook bag.

Perhaps it is something the last owner left behind.

Hmmm - maybe to tie to a bike crossbar. Bag could store waterproofs?

Blimey - look at us. Guessing what a old discarded bag was used for.

Even if we guess, how will we know we are correct?

I think I need a part time job in my retirement
