I've got a Roomster 1.2tdi courtesy car. I guess a haven't learnt to drive it properly from an economy point of view in the 60 or so miles but it seems inferior to my 1.6tdi in both performance and fuel economy. However it sounds better, I do like a 3 pot whether it be petrol or derv!

I think that maybe I'm liking the sound of the thing a bit too much and therefore putting on quite a few more revs than I would with the 4pot!!

Have you asked about them upgrading the maps on the Sat Nav whilst its in the workshop?

TBH I didn't think to ask about the maps. I am collecting my car first thing Wed morning although by then it'll have already been through the workshop so I guess it's a bit late. I'll ask anyway.

Never heard a 3 pot diesel. Does it growl abit?

I'm quite liking the growl.

Had a Rapid diesel for a courtesy car. Believe me, it wasn't!

Wasn't a car or wasn't a courtesy?

I enjoyed my 24hrs with the 3pot and even enjoyed the Roomster aka the popemobile (according to my daughter)

Rapid by name, not by nature.

Rapid by name, not by nature.

I'd have thought that the 105bhp version of the 1.6 TDI would go ok in a Rapid. It certainly goes well enough in my Fabia. Unless that is you are expecting VRS performance.

They charge about £150 to update your satnav

I'd tell them to get lost.

If it's a 2013 model I'd expect at least an update in the 1st year especially if it didn't have the latest maps on delivery!

It would've come with the latest version when you took delivery, I doubt the maps would be updated yearly but do a Google search to find out the latest version number then check you Amundsen and see if it matches.

That's the only trouble with stock sat nav, it's not easy to update and customise like TomTom or Garmin.
