TURBO

Featured Replies

hi my turbo on my octavia is well on its way out and in massive need of recon! but will a ko4 fit onto my car as its running a ko3s at the minute many thanks

It is a big enough job to change over. both the exhaust to turbo manifold and the turbo back are completely different as are the inlet pipes etc. You're best bet for ease would be to rebuild a hybrid K03, at least that will have the same external fitting.

I could well have a VGC K03S tomorrow evening if the current buyer doesn't come up with the funds.  :)

many thanks for replying as im not a turbo expert! what price for the ko3s? and whats to guarantee that isn't on its way out? as my octavia running 250bhp and don't want turbo boloxed again lol

I have checked the play and zero in/out play, and factory spec <1mm play side to side. :)  Got a buyer lined up @ £150. :)

ok mate keep me posted and where abouts are you...im guessing devon?

jaysus, that's a lot! I don't know how you're getting that power from it and I wouldn't expect it to last putting out that.

is it definitely a normal K03?

There is a KO4-001 that will fit but it's not really much better than a KO3s.

It's had few other bits done and technically its running 248bhp

You guess correctly but courier for a turbo is not an issue. :)

how much extra would courier entail?

If it came down to it, I would most likely shout the courier at my cost in the £150 price, but I will have to let you know if the other person pulls out as I can't gazump them.

They've not paid, not communicating.  Could well be yours if you are interested.
