LCR splitter fitting

Featured Replies

So, I have a brand new splitter ready to be fitted. I've read a couple of posts where people have said they need cutting so they bend to the bumper shape properly. Any ideas? Searching doesn't work on Tapatalk :(

Cut the taps off the top of the middle vertical parts.

Line it up.

Tape it i place.

Ram some self tappers in the horizontal tabs underneath

Done

as above easy cut the two middle lugs down and self tapers in place look 100 times better with one of these on

Even easier if u pilot to little tabs on splittter too :)

As said....

Mark center

Line up

Fix front then work way round each side

i found the center posts have a little plastic "web" about 10mm down. thats where i cut mine down to. ive seen cars where the posts are left standard length and the center bows down looking pants lol.

Has anyone tried cutting a slot/hole into the bottom of the bumper to clip the inserts into?

be easier to just trim the posts. also i had to trim the tabs on the post + about 5-10 mm of post irc. the leon cupra must have a more profiled nose than the vrs.

way too much work and will be in wrong place.

much easier to do what folks have prescribed up above

I removed my splitter as fed up catching it and now prefer car without it.
