1L Top-Up Kit only

Featured Replies

I called in today to buy some screen wash - even though I don't need one (dealer chucked a top-up kit in the boot for free at last service four months ago - it's still there unopened) I asked if they were still doing top-up kits for a tenner - considering I've paid £18 / £19 in Sainsbury's for a litre of oil I think this is not a bad price at all - it even comes with a paper funnel in a snazzy zip bag.

I bought one anyway because I'm a belt 'n' braces person :giggle: - I even take a spare pair of shoelaces out with me!

£19 a litre?

Holy smoke!

Got some castrol edge 5w 40 from Tesco's last week - on offer at £9 a litre rather than 12

Cashier looked at me gone out when I bought 4 of 'em (obviously not a vrs owner). :)

4 x 4 litres of Tesco Full Synthetic 5 w 30, meets VW 502.00, bought last week for £12.00  per 4 litres,

but that was them clearing them from £16 and all that was left.

so 16 litres for £48.  That should keep an Oil Burner going for a while.

The proper Castrol stuff  is either £25 or £30 for 4 litres from Costco...but no good if you are not a member,of course.

Aye, Sainsbury's are ripping the p*ss at £19 for a litre of Castrol Edge.

I bought all the stock from my dealer.......burnt the lot  !

Oh, I forgot to mention the Velcro strips that handily fasten the bag to the floor of the boot!
