Bolero compatibility

Featured Replies

Hi, I am thinking of getting a Bolero head unit for my 2006 Octavia. I have the factory sound system and need to know is the unit compatible with the amp in the sound system.

I have been told that some of the later Boleros wont communicate with the earlier model factory sound system's.

My car is a 2006 reg but would have been built late 2005.

Does anybody know how to move a Topic ?

I think I should have put this in the ICE section.

I dropped a bolero from a 2012 model car into my 07 vrs with no issues.  Except i cant use the rear cd changer (which i doubt many people do).  And obviously updated to a newer revision can gateway module.

You will need to update to a later can gateway but your lucky as yours should be just up behind the glovebox and not behind the drivers side dash.  whole job should be no more than 30 mins.

I had the standard stream unit before the swap

A search will turn up many useful threads.

Just noticed you have a factory fit amp.  Sorry may render the above post void as i have no idea about this.
