Yes

You will benefit from a QD or purified water system to avoid water spotting

Whats QD or purified water system, chris?

Yes...BUT

Be careful...You will find some water will run out of crevices and cause water spotting again

Sharky that filter looks just like an EA purifier.

Yes, I did think that nairn and I've been trying to find out what it's contents are made up of but to no success, unless it's just the same as the 1 I've already got for the pond?

(Had a good day at the show yesterday mate, shame you could'nt make it).

It says it strips out the calcium carbonate so I am not sure if it is carbon like EA or like the old style water filters which used ion exchange resin?

Our pond filters as you know are more for stripping out chlorine/chloramine.

Mad as the casing is bang on EA.

Too far for me and I am full anyway and coupled with saving money no joy looking.

Am trying to sort out a deal for some water filters.

These fit inline with the PW for the final wash.

It will give a 0ppm which means after washing you rinse with this and can just walk away without having to dry, with no water spots at all.

In the mean time, to help get the water out of the vents, mirrors, grills etc, dog dryer.

These sound interesting mozzie, you'll have to keep us informed mate

Yes. I'm sure at the right price this might prove very popular.

  • 1 month later...

I also snow foamed my car for the first time today, I was expecting a more sticky foam effect but not sure if jet washing the car first hindered it adhesion.

I used this lance http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/141223754200?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

and this foam http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261208868123?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

The results were OK, maybe didn't leave it on long enough but it seemed to run off. I used 1inch of foam and then filled with very  hot water and shook it to mix it.

Any comments?

Having looked at Sharky's pictures my results were not that bad really....

Personally, I have not used a snow foam which contains wax

IMO..there is no need to...Snow Foam is pre wash cleaner, not a final treatment

But if it cleans well..............

Should the foam be agitated by means of a cleaning mitt or just jet washed off?

Depends

If the car is very dirty, then wash off before using your TBM

Sometimes I use it alone and apply a second coat after rinsing off and go around with the MF Wash pad and bucket of warm water

Some Snow Foams are more effective than others in terms of cleaning power

Bilt hamber, AB Magifoam and Valet Pro are the best three Ive used

Remember: The reason you use it at all is to remove as much dirt as you can before you touch the car with wash pad/mitt

I will try it next time, thanks.
