Hi everyone, just bought a Skoda Octavia 2.0 FSi 4x4 estate. Having now read through service history properly I've got a handle on jobs that need done. About to change rear brakes and indicator bulbs so hopefully save some cash doing it myself. In fact, I think the bulbs will be harder to change than the brakes. Have you seen how squished the engine bay is?!!

 

What a lovely car though. It's a 2006 Mk2 and I'm loving the comfort and the gadgets. However, fuel consumption ain't great so I'm looking to do as much of the maintenance as I can rather than forking out for garages.

 

Any general tips and comments would be gratefully received. Otherwise, I'll see you on the brakes, exhaust and skinned-knuckle forums.
