Options for alloy control arms

Featured Replies

After nearly four years of ownership I have started off down the modifications track. RARB being fitted as the first move. Yay!

I would like to get the shark remap and nqsbbk next but because my control arm bushes are worn then I am going for new alloy arms to make the most of the labour charge. Be better still if I could afford to put coilovers on at the same time but my dealer rather nicely replaced both front struts on warranty only a short while ago meaning I have little reason to do so.

So .... Where can I source the alloy arms from? The OEM ones are part number 8J0 407 151 D I think. Welcome other ideas and indications of price. Fitting on general agreement seems to be one and a half hours labour.

Have a look at the Superpro versions as well.

My tt arms were a lucky score on eBay, but the s3 arms were sourced new by Alex @ aks - I think these were from TPS? Cost a little over £100 per side, came with new consoles and the firmer bushes. If you're changing the arms consider either the superpro alk or adjustable ball joints - adding some camber on the front via either route will work well with your rear arb.

Ref the rarb- If you didn't already know alex was running a group buy on h&r stuff? :)

Nqsbbk is a great mod, but won't fit under neptunes without a 10mm spacer.

HTH.

Rob, Where is the group buy thread? I'm looking for an h&r RARB!
