Is this normal ?

Evening everybody just a quick question as noted before this is my first turbo car so this maybe a silly question. When starting from cold always warm up for a couple of mins then when pulling away slowly sometimes in first and second gear when I get to around 3 thou revs and it seems to dump a bit of pressure. Well that's what it sounds like I get the old dv hiss but if I accelerate a little harder I do not get this. It almost feels like it really wants to fly but like I said I'm not giving it any beans when this happens just driving away slowly.
