question for tuners about vRS maf sensor....?...

Featured Replies

On my mg zs tdi I had the maf mapped out (mafless remap)...

Now I'm pretty sure I'm experiencing maf problems on my car!

Car starts holding back, so unplugged it and the car went like a stabbed rat!! Then started holding back again.. so I pulled over and plugged it back in.. Car went like the clappers again!! :-s

Strange

So the question is obvious.. Can the maf sensor be mapped out on these??

Short answer: yes it can.

That is the answer I was hoping for mate . Thank you

You can but maf less tunes only used on very high bhp outputs where you reach the max scaling of the largest mafs

Not easy mind only the top guys can map properly

I'm thinking this because I don't wanna go through mafs like nobody's business lol

Pretty sure mines original?  88k / 2001 using standard airbox and filter.

Think mines original too theres no reciept for a replacement in its service history. If i unplug mine i dont get my remapped boost tho just standard boost

Buy a genuine one should be fine

Oiled filters kill them

It's a cone filter down in bumper with stainless pipe up to maf..

I just love the noise it makes (that's not to say I want to keep killing them though) :-o

Also this is the original I'm pretty sure judging by the list I've put right on the car since ownership.. 106,000 miles

But me fitting the induction setup prob has accelerated it's death lol. Typical
