Right guys like in title u problerly get this all the time but im new to the skoda sence and dont understand none off it . I have a 04 plate octavia vrs at standard height needs to be lowered lol my q is what coilovers are best to get will any others fit ie bora or so on ( seen on ebay that leon cupra r are simluar) sorry if this had been asked loads but im a bit slow :( cheers people

Best... Kw v3 :)

Other things.....

Kw are good - drop 65mm

Weitec are made by kw so good - drop 55mm iirc

Ap are the baby kw so bit cheaper - drop 50/-55mm i think

Fk do a silverline version for about £450 - drop 90mm front 75 rear

They do a none dilverline version for alot less that drop the same - i think its the fk street or such

Fk do a konigsport set that use kw insert i think ? But jump up in price

So... :)

Whats ur budget

Stick to octy kits due to correct then for the weight of the beasts

The octavia is much heavier at the rear than a Golf or Bora, so stick to the correct parts or you'll be replacing the shock absorbers very frequently. I had KW V2 on my old 2001 vRS.

Ask away it is always a common debate but not easy to find always best answers buddy.

It depends on budget really. And if you want to just have a low car that don't handle well or a compromise on both.

KW V3 being top of the range as fully adjustable platforms and shock rebound and compression

I have KW V2's with  fully adjustable platforms and shock rebound(not compression)

Don't expect change from a grand on those above though

KW V1 are cheaper with no shock adjustment, and just set to typical road use.

Then you go to a middle of the road coilover which are Weitec Hicon  GT or FK silverline (have koni inserts) which give good results

Then you go to bottom range like Pro Sport for around £200

few folks have them on this site and say they are good. I think you won't be able to go low low with them as probably not up to much shock rebound and support.

Also as mentioned do not get coilovers for Golf,Seat Leon etc as although same floor platform are completely different poundage's as the Octavia is heavier.

get the correct ones for the car buddy....

Also im guessing it has to be vrs coilovers not just any octavia ones?

How many people actually setup the rebound and compression on v3 properly

I gaurantee 99% don't just out of box and fit

Pointless

True but my point is the V3's are the top's in every way regardless of change or setting up.

I have set my V2's up just how i want them and they are great. But you know me Clive I am a fussy git..

Hey i need to visit you, when you free, Tim want his cambelt down asap/......

Some Skoda Octavia coilovers do not state VRS specifically so check, but where they do yes get VRS ones.

When I checked KW site did not state VRS as the coilovers are adjustable to a reasonable length and the poundage of the VRS to std Octy is not that different.

I have found H&R monotubes to be good straight out the box and give a good ride quality and are good when driving the car enthusiastically
