I was told that this is possibly the problem with my performance issues, only problem I don't know what it is.

It's under the bonnet with a white head on it saying vac and out, I will post a photo. Thanks

Can't seem to post photograph, so it's just under the passenger side under bonnet. Held in place with two bolts, black body with connector into it, on top of that is a silver circle, on top of that is the white head with vac and out printed on, the silver part has a small hose into it, and two more small hoses leaving the white head. Apologies for the poor terminology

Aftermarket boost controller maybe?

Thanks for your IulianE, Paul & Rob, to get a new one, is it specific to the model and age? Its looks simple enough to do, is it a DIY job?

to change that?is dead simple....take it off and put the new one.Don't mess up the hoses
