Valuation of 59 plate facelift VRS

Featured Replies

Before it gets advertised properly, can anyone suggest what sort of price I should be looking at for a 59 plate petrol VRS. It's the facelift version, has done just over 100k and has a full service history. I'm pretty sure it's a standard car with no options and it all looks pretty clean and tidy - photos will follow once I've cleaned it but it looks like every other black hatch.

Thanks

I have the same vehicle but with 30k less mileage. I am contemplating (but not convinced) about changing to new diesel in the next couple of months. Unfortunately its likely to be a Beemer as the Skodas are on 9 months at the moment apparently and the BMW has substantially more power (330d) and cheap on contract hire at the moment.

I was offered a trade in of £7,300.00 so would hope to get just around £7500.00-£8000.00 private. Mine is slightly modded.

My guess with your mileage yours would be worth at least £800-£1000.00 less

Problem I have is I love the car, it still makes me smile, But I use it for work and always planned to change my car every 3 years so its 1.5 years overdue for change!

Will a diesel capable of 0-60 in 5.6 seconds make me smile as much?

Worried if I let it go I will regret it.......Like the

Westfield

TR7 V8

Speed Triple etc etc

Yeah, I reckon £6.5-7k or thereabouts isn't that far off. This is actually one of our company cars I need to get rid of.

Just taken it for a quick drive round the block and it feels very nice - you definitely wouldn't think it had done just over 100000 miles.

With it been a TSI has it had a engine change or rebuild or is it still on the original engine & timing chain tensioner?

I shall try and find out. We had two of these and I know one of them had a failed tensioner and a new engine done under warranty.

Only reason i ask is if its had a new engine it could be a selling point.  ;)

Yep, I've now found the invoice - new engine fitted at 67000 miles in April 2012 so that's actually less than two years and 35000 miles old. So, what do we reckon this changes on the value?

I got offered £8800 on my FL 59 plate just this wk (Skoda main dealer against a fabia monty) but mine has only done 20K.

It's a TSI hatch with heated seats & optical rear parking sensors..........just as a rough guide for your own valuation.
