Someone has asked if I know why there fan on there new Octavia Tdi 1.6 carries on even when they have locked the car and walking off.

 

This happens even if they have travelled 1 mile from cold after scraping there windscreen of ice.

 

Is this a climate control fan possibly as the temp needle in the car for the engine has not moved.

 

Any technical reason would be great.
