My sister's new car

Featured Replies

I just got an email from my little sister - 38yrs old :notme:  - to show me her new car.  I'm fairly up to date with these kind of things, but I've never seen one of these before.

I won't be offended by anything you say, so fire away!

Looks good actually

Fiat took over Chrysler.

It is the old Dodge Journey badged as a Fiat Freemont.

That looks pretty good (certainly better than those 500Ls) and I'm sure they'd be able to sell quite a few over here

Ah, I thought it was american until I saw the badge

That 500L is a horror, I see one every day at the park and ride now.

Yep, saw quite a few in Rome. It would have been very high up my list of choices if they sold them in the uk.

They bought it to replace their three year old Renault Grand Scenic which had been nothing but trouble.  Fingers crossed this might be a tad better built.

Vw have been doing them for years, optional extra for quite a while now, mk1 Sharon springs to mind.

My dad's old volvo 940 had one built into the centre armrest

I like that but shame it's a Fiat

Certainly has some presence. I like it.

From French to an Italian badged American car.

They're born optimists I'll give them that.

Yeah, I do try and advise them on these things.  Trouble is, she's all the way down near Marseille and her other half is French.  I can neither get to see her for a chat to offer my wisdom or convince her Gallic husband that he might be somewhat off centre with his judgements.

He's very French in his views - I'll leave it at that.
