Well the last week of torture begins before I finally get the keys to the vRS

5 months to the day (minus 1) since I placed the order.

Really can't wait, however I suspect this week will slower than a week in the jail!!!!

Next Saturday seems a lifetime away.

Damn I think I would've went mad waiting 5 month's, I have to wait till next Wednesday, I ordered last Thursday car is sitting somewhere in Dublin and it can't come soon enough. Anyway hope it's well worth the wait and you get plenty of fun out of it

Even longer for me. I'm now driving my GF's ten year old Punto!

Last week was long enough! SWMBO is getting more and more annoyed the closer it gets.

Has anyone got there plates yet? Was expecting mine this week no word from the dealer yet though......

Yep, dealer phoned and gave the choice of plate numbers (pants choice but there you go) Tuesday, told me the car was there and his own workshop are now fitting the towbar/electrics.

Don't expect any sympathy from me, I've been in an 1.2 I10 since the 28/10/13 (yeah I took my time ordering or bartering actually) that Hyundai is basic and thats as polite as I can be heck, we have to take two cars for the weeks food shop.

I bought a private plate for mine. Still a 14, but looks good.

It can't be any less well equipped than the Punto. The closest I have to a luxury is front electric windows.

Well its been 6 months exactly for me (ordered on 1st sep), got my reg no. which again was pants but hey-ho at least there was a choice. Its getting professionally detailed rather than leaving it to a 17 year old YTS monkey and I'm picking it up on saturday at precisely 12pm....Only six sleeps to go!

Really, a case of beer has to be turned portrait to fit in the so call boot & I don't even have a temp. gauge, true I have electric windows all round but, they take an Fn age to get all four windows down, don't even try pressing two buttons at once. Its a POS on a 63 plate but, they had it in stock, £24.75 down & £103 a month on a 2 year PCP, we couldn't get a banger for that kinda money just for four months. The wife will sell her 61 plate as of next Saturday oh & when the bodyshop have cleaned it up enough.

You really wanna know how bad this car is, she choose the same Fn colour as her current one so, when her friends come around they all smile and say "how cute, matching cars" AAAArrrrrgggggggggg

Hmmmm, hopefully a call early this week. Did drive past the garage yesterday no views of any new cars yet...

Just had a call from the dealer...... Car hasn't moved for 20 days still sitting in port of exit.. apparently theres been a massive backlog can't get the cars out quick enough. :( They have offered me a hire car till it arrives though. They hope its only a week delayed. Gutted....

Mine has been at the dealer for just over two weeks now, collecting this Friday night at midnight!  Fortunately or unfortunately, I have been struck down with a sickness bus since Friday and am still trying to feel any better, all I am worried about is being better to collect the car at midnight, my wife just keeps saying that the car can wait etc etc I have said, no bloody way, I have everything set up for collection at midnight and I am not missing out!  Either way it has distracted my mind from the wait!  So only 4 sleeps and a very long Friday for me!!!!

 

I am really excited for Friday night, but struggling to do cart wheels around the house at the moment!

Was hoping for a "double" collection on Saturday... Still you can't complain.. only be 3 weeks since you ordered it, and mine will only be 6 or 7 weeks !

I know gutting but oh well. I will be picking up a hire care from there on saturday though.....

mine arrived yesterday at the dealership from tyneside,checked it over as best i could in the rain,going back today when the plastic has been taken off and susspension chocks removed

"Punto" luxury! Poorly merc sitting forlornly on drive with a strap holding the boot down as locking mechanism bust, filthy from being towed backwards for 20 miles the other day by the RAC as won't get out of second gear, getting a lift to work today and Thursday as I haven't been on a bus for 20 years and not about to start now, relying on shopping being delivered, will be walking to the dealer on Saturday for m'new shiny, shiny vRS TDI Combi in black with canton and other stuff that I seem to remember ordering back in October. Blimey this week's going sloooowly but I know it'll be worth it...
