Hi all I'm the owner of an Octavia Ambiente estate 1.9tdi on a 56 plate. Got a problem with the boot lid locking. When you use the fob to unlock the car the boot now seems to unlock itself and then you can hear the lock opening and closing on its own repeatedly. I've resorted to locking the car with the lid open, then shutting the lid and opening the drivers door only using the fob. No other apparent faults with the car and the little red light on the door still flashes.

Any ideas??

Does your Key have a boot unlock button? I had a similar issue which I thought was to do with the boot lock but turned out to be the switch inside the key being faulty and activating at random points whenever I was near the vehicle with the broken key. Tried the other key and never had a problem since and since fixed the faulty key
