Just wondering if anyone seen any VAG "clear" ones for a Superb2?

Double whammy

Came back to my car a few weeks ago and someone had clipped the end sticky out bit (normally fold the mirrors, but forgot - wont do it again, take 100 lines)

 

Anyway my dealer supplied and fitted a replacement lens in 30 minutes. Can't remember how much but it didn't hurt.

 

They pop out the mirror glass to get to it, hence I didn't want to do it myself.

 

In my opinion not worth faffing about yourself.

Just rung Skoda to see how much for parts - will enquire abt fitting too.

Still after some clear lens.

Rung Audi to see if their cars have clear lens.

The parts dept is not aware :-(

Well, Skoda wants £35+vat to fit the indicator (+ £22 parts) = total £57!

So i guess i will try to fit myself then (Wayne off to the search forum function now ...)

Found one thread abt "pushing mirror so can grab mirror to pop off, then torx screw and sorted"

Not exactly sure wot torx screws are - but hope i have the tools ...

 See below - think you'll need to "pop" the mirror glass (16) off the mounting point so gain access to the screws behind. THen you can remove the TORQ screws and replace.
