activated carbon pollen filter

Featured Replies

anyone used an activated carbon pollen filter on a mk2 fl octavia?

There are a few on ecp, but says driver position for RHD with air conditioning - but they look the same as standard.

Thanks

Nope, in theory it could cut down on some smells I suppose.

I may try an activated filter, was just querying if they are the same size, but it would seem as though they are if you used them instead

thanks Mike

Hmm, when I changed mine it was a dark carbon filter that I got from a dealer, for about £11.

Where do you put the air freshener? Under the filter? I have a few in my previous car that could be reused! :D

I just got one from the dealer. It was a dark charcoal one.

Hmmmm may have to have a look at mine, see if I can put one there! Is it effective?

I bought a charcoal filter from ecp when I changed mine. Can't say I've noticed any difference over the standard version.

I'll go for a charcoal one too, see if it stops the exhausts fumes from vehicles in traffic coming in.

Isn't the automatic air recirc meant to stop fumes entering? It never seems to work even when left in auto?
