Works fine a[part from one niggle. It does not show info on display of music I am playing only "BT Audio". Anyone got any ideas on how I can show track info?

What is the type number of your bluetooth carkit box (located under the driver's seat (under the passenger's seat in Europe))? The newer versions are capable of showing all the info (except the pictures).

The display of track data is also dependent, at least partly, on the Music Player on the phone.  I use PowerAmp on my S4 which displays the track info fine.  I'm not sure if the stock Samsung app works, though.

Hope this helps...

Yeah same thing. I use dogcatcher for podcasts and it displays track info.  But the lazy sods at Rdio haven't bothered.

Ah I am using Spotify. SO maybe this is the problem?

Yep.

The crappy thing is the API is there, the software writers haven't bothered to use it.

I use Rdio with airstream (an airplay app) to my Denon home theatre amp, I get track/artist etc on the amp and TV.

Using Rdio with A2DP (bluetooth), nope.  It's up to the app writer to make this happen and they just haven't bothered.
