Whats The Must Have MODS On Your VRS....

Featured Replies

I often think if enjoy an upgraded head unit as I have the standard Swing. However most the time I have it off anywhere to listen to the amazing sound of that engine...

we have a local "custom" exhaust place, I will be trotting in next week for a middle silencer removal :)

A good mod a previous owner of a classic mini I had years ago wrote on the underside of the car with a paint marker pen "I didn't mean to, I ran out of talent"

List of mods I'm currently undertaking;

H&R 40mm drop

Front and rear spacers (the estate looks too narrow IMO)

Centre silencer removal as under hard acceleration the car is too quiet! Losing the centre silencer gives a WRC type fart noise on up shifts. I need that in my life haha

does removing centre silencer affect the warranty? The only 1 on my list (mod) is to get them skoda approved lowering springs atm,

well my local garage noticed (and inspected and chatted with other mechs!) my RARB at the last service ;) about the only thing that could be considered to affect would be rear suspension..... and to be honest, if my suspension failed for any reason, i wouldn't want warrenty, I'd upgrade, so it doesn't bother me.....

centre silencer... hhhhmmmm they could say less back pressure may effect engine, but I doubt it, a member here has had an engine replacement with a pipercross filter element in (like mine ;) ) and they didnt void because of it (even though the dealer mentioned that! lol) obviously I'd say exhaust warrenty gone.....

the thing is they have to say that  the mod effected the failed part to void the warrenty... I will take the risk on the exhaust ;)

wooow ! the best Remap

As other's have said, lowering and RARB.

As for exhaust mods...I'd leave until after warrenty tbh. No point affecting or giving them a chance to void it on something has critical as this imho.   I'll be getting a miltek catback once mine's runs out next year.

I am thinking twice! lol.... my garage seem to be pretty fair though.....
